A FACTOR ANALYSIS OF COMPETENCIES OF NURSE ENTREPRENEUR

Abstract

          The purpose of this research was to study the factors of competencies of nurse entrepreneurs. The sample consisted of 530 nurse entrepreneurs  selected by multistage sampling.  The questionnaire was developed by a panel of experts. Cronbach’ s alpha coefficient for the questionnaire was .98 The preliminary scale consisted of  156 items anchored by a rating scale. To assess the structure of the factors of competencies of nurse entrepreneurs, factor analysis was performed on 156 items by means of Principle Component Analysis with orthogonal rotation and varimax method.
         The research findings revealed that there were 16 significant  factors  of competencies of nurse entrepreneurs which described by 96 Items accounting for 68.2% of variances as follows :
1)  Leadership  2) Primary Medical Treatment  3) Comprehension   of   law    4) Quality  service development  5) Cultural community understanding  6) Risk management  7) Health promotion  8) Financial management  9) Common minor surgical intervention  10) Holistic nursing care  11) Team management  12) Comprehension of social context   13) Midwifery   14) Innovation creation    15) Moral  and 16) Communication
