This presentation will provide a detailed review of the Human Resources process that was required to formalize a joint faculty position between Pace University Lienhard School of Nursing (LSN) and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY).  The many insights, which our team learned, will be shared with the purpose of assisting others in replicating this collaborative effort.  There was great energy and support for this exciting partnership, but when it came time to penning the particulars to paper and formalizing documents many hurdles needed to be scaled. Before this partnership could be formalized, decisions regarding primary employer, salary equity, and fringe benefit compensation needed to be addressed.  The steps involved in negotiating job descriptions, contractual agreements, and HIPPA compliance, as well as, working with the legal channels pertaining to contract review will be presented during this third aspect of the symposium.
