Application of Topical Sanyinjiao Compression in Nurses with Dysmenorrhea in Taiwan

Learning Objective #1: learn how to use the non-invasive topical Sanyinjiao finger compression method.
Learning Objective #2: realize the non-invasive topical Sanyinjiao finger compression method could improve the psycho-physical motion and symptom-relief during dysmenorrheal course.

    Some Female feels to be discomfortable during dysmenorrhea which manifested with the symptoms as fatigue,emotional disturbance, bad-tempered, and anxious etc. in addition topical Sanyinjiao compression is suggested to be effective for symptom-relief of dysmenorrhea. To investigate whether these are corrected factorts in nursing staffs who sustained dysmenorrhea and whether the non-invasive topical Sanyinjiao.Method is able to improved the psycho-physical motion and relieve the Symptoms during the dysmenorrhea with structure questionnaire,visual analog scales for pain(VASP) and subjective satisfaction score before and after topical Sanyinjiao finger compression treatment.The preliminary results shows there were negative correlation between the menstrual cramp and primitive age of menstruation (r=-0.447, p=0.007). The everage painful score was significantly decreased from 7.0±1.4 to 2.9±0.9 after topical Scanyinjiao compression as compared that in the control. This result demonstrates that topical Sanyinjiao compression has positive effect to improve dysmenorrhea. In summary, topical Sanyinjiao compression is a worthy-recommended method for symptom-relief of dysmenorrhea. This simple alternative method could be used and educated female staffs in clinics or even in social community when dysmenorrheal occurred.
