Learning Objective #1: analyze the strategies to enhance the effects of e-learning on the continuing education for nurse.
Learning Objective #2: apply the e-learning to promote the professional competence for nurse.

The purpose of this study was to establish and evaluate an e-learning model of a continuing nursing education program for nurses. The pre-post test quasi-experimental research design was applied. Through purposive sampling, 64 nurses who worked in one of the general medical centers in Taiwan and were preparing to advance to N3 of nursing ladders were recruited to be the subjects. Through randomization, a Community Based e-learning course was provided to the experiment group (n=32), and traditional lecture course was prepared for control group (n=32). The results shown the score of knowledge after first session course(t2-t1) between experimental and control group was very significant difference, on the contrary, .the score was no significant difference after second session course(t3-t2). The score of skill after second session course between experimental and control group also was no significant difference (t3-t2). Subjects in experimental group were satisfied with their experiences of e-learning. The effects and strategies of this e-learning course were examined and discussed. The e-learning model can provide a new learning style for nursing staffs and it is imperative to enhance professional competence for nurse.
