This main purpose of special project is to promote the satisfaction of pain management in patient with shoulder neck pains after the cervical vertebra surgery .The patient that shoulder neck pain after the surgery and nursing staff were choose for target at neurosurgery OPD of teaching hospital in north from 1st – 20th of March in 2005. We found that the patient had low satisfaction after management to the shoulder and neck pain, the intensity of pain was up to 8.7 score, nursing staff recognize content to pain with non-medicine management less than 40%, the rate of carrying out to patient with shoulder neck pain after surgery was also less than 40% . Via the satisfaction scheme , promote the satisfaction of pain management in patient with shoulder neck pain after surgery, including make shoulder neck pain acupressure sheet, technology operated procedure and run a nursing staff education on the job .After these promoters, measures are improving to the satisfaction of pain management in patient with shoulder neck pains after surgery from 61.5 to 89% , after the attendance in 5 minutes, the intensity drop to 5.3 score from 8.7 score, and 4.2 score in 30 minutes .The results of the study suggest that the satisfaction improving really, and this special project can offer the relevant authority to management in pain .
