Learning Objective #1: understand the process followed to establish a collaboration network to establish post-graduate degrees at East Africa Universities
Learning Objective #2: identify and describe the challenges within setting up a collaboration project between different African countries

The Tau Lambda-At-Large Chapter was chartered August 2004. The at-large Chapter holds an annual conference where representatives from all fourteen Nursing Schools, part of the at-Large Chapter meet.  During the conference we ensure that at least one new collaborative research project is initiated.  This provides the opportunity for networking, collaboration and development. At one of these conferences the request was received from colleagues in East Africa to assist in the establishment of post-graduate degrees at East Africa Universities. This paper will explore the process followed to establish the collaboration network, as well as describe and highlight the challenges with setting up collaboration between different Africa countries. We will also share how being members of STTI can benefit all parties involved.  We have since made substantial progress with this project and is also investigating the expansion into West-Africa.
