The purpose of this study is to identify the demographic, so and higher educational background socioeconomic, health behavior characters of elders and to compare health behaviors by demographic and socioeconomic levels and to identify relationships between  socioeconomic levels and health status and to identify the factors that influence on the health status of elders. The Data were collected by using questionnaire that measures education, incomes, smoking, drinking alcohol, exercise, ADL, IADL, MMSE, perceived health status. The subjects of this study were 3,278. Smokers were higher in man, married, rural area and higher educational background. Drinking alcohol was higher in man, married, and higher educational background. Exercise was higher in man, under age 75 group, married, urban residents, higher educational background and higher income group. There were significant correlations between the ADL, IADL, MMSE, perceived health status, education, and incomes. The factors that influenced significantly on the ADL were age and exercise. The factors that influenced significantly on the IADL were age, education, and exercise. The factors that influenced significantly on the MMSE were age, education and exercise. The factors that influenced significantly on the perceived heath status were age, education, income and exercise. We need to set up health promotion program for elders considering age, educational levels, and income.
