Evidence and Informatics Transforming Nursing: The TIGER Initiative
Learning Objective #1: 1. The learner will be able to decribe a national nursing initiative to help nurses meet the challenge of the Informatics Revolution.
Learning Objective #2: 2. The learner will be able to identify resources for support to successfuly integrate evidence and informatics into current education and practice settings.
This session will describe the TIGER Initiative (Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform). The pressenters will share how the USA's national nursing leaders and advocates have worked together to catalyze a dynamic, sustainable, and productive relationship between the Alliance for Nursing Informatics (ANI) , representing 20 nursing informatics porfessional societies, and the major nursing professioanl organizations, including Sigma Theta Tau International, that collectively represent more than 2,000,000 nurses. The Session will include a recent invitation-only TIGER Summit, the 10-year Vision, and 3-Year Action plans developed. How the TIGER efforts are being diffused and measured will be discussed with an updated progress of action plans toward the vision.
