WORKSHOP: Igniting Evidence-Based Practice in Clinical Settings: Basics & Beyond
Learning Objective #1: Discuss the importance of the EBP paradigm as a basis for practice
Learning Objective #2: Engage in the EBP process: Asking clinical questions, finding the answer, appraising & synthesizing evidence, applying to practice and evaluating outcome.
This intensive, interactive workshop will provide participants the opportunity to build knowledge and skills that are essential for implementing evidence-based practice (EBP). An overview of the five steps of the EBP process will be provided with a focus on building skills in honing clinical questions and critical appraisal of evidence. Emphasis will be placed on motivating change toward a best practice culture through EBP, including discussion of strategies for moving from evidence to action.
