WORKSHOP: Evidence-Based Decision Making: A Hands-On Introduction
Learning Objective #1: recognise clinical uncertainty and how to turn this uncertainty into answerable questions.
Learning Objective #2: integrate research evidence, clinical experience and patient preferences.
An interactive journey through evidence based decision making from working with clinical uncertainty through to application (making the right choice with the patient in front of you). The workshop will cover how to recognise clinical uncertainty how to turn this uncertainty into answerable questions the role of research evidence in reducing uncertainty where to find research evidence, how to judge the validity and applicability of the research integrating research evidence, clinical experience and patient preferences. The style of the workshop will be interactive, informal and participatory.
