If a nurse can be deployed in an appropriate hospital with considering of the nurse's personality traits, the high turnover of the nurse would be avoided. The aim of this study was to assess the difference of the personality traits of the nurses in the various medical facilities. The respondents were 20 men and 251 women, and 228 nurses and 43 licensed practical nurses. The average ages of the general hospitals and the sanatorium type hospitals were 33.2 and 43.6, respectively. The personality traits in the general hospitals and the sanatorium type hospitals were compared. The score of empathy, endurance and nervousness were high, and the score of self-display and uncooperativeness was low in both types of hospitals. Significant difference was revealed with endurance, self-display and dishonesty. The findings suggest that some personality traits were different in two groups .It may occur from property of facilities. Nurses have required briskly behavior at general hospitals.
