The ARCC Model and Role of EBP Mentors in Promoting Professional Practice Attributes

The Advancing Research & Clinical practice through close Collaboration (ARCC) Model is designed to facilitate sustainable implementation of evidence-based practice (EBP) in organizations.  This session will focus on how adopting such a model can foster professional practice.   The ARCC model addresses organizational level implementation of EBP as well as clinicians individual practice paradigms. This session will discuss how both organizational and individual paradigms influence professional practice.  Successful strategies for sustaining professional practice, particularly EBP Mentors, will be discussed.  Emphasis will be places on outcomes expected from use of EBP strategies.

 The learner will be able to:

1) Describe considerations in adopting the ARCC model to support professional practice.

2) Discuss the impact of EBP strategies, such as EBP Mentors, on provider and patient outcomes.
