EBP and Professional Practice: Unique Synergies and Possibilities

The final session of this symposium will focus on the unique and exciting synergies that occur when the transformational journey from tradition-based practice to evidence-based practice is aligned with Professional Practice and Shared Governance development.   How these powerful nursing excellence engines fuel each other and create exponential opportunities for individual and organizational nursing practice development will be described. In addition, nursing research and related contributions to the body of nursing science knowledge will be explored.

1. Identify Professional Practice outcomes that can be attained through EBP.

2. Describe 2 potential synergies of EBP and Professional Practice combined.
