Center for the Advancement of EBP (CAEP), Arizona State University College of Nursing & Health Innovation, Phoenix, AZ

CAEP has evolved into a partner in an inter-country forum that fosters discussion on triumphs and challenges associated with strategic initiatives to advance EBP in the Pan Americas. This networking partnership is built upon the vision of a world-wide EBP network that assists clinicians, educators, administrators and others to bring the dream of every decision is an evidence-based decision closer to fruition.  Through networking, international collaborative partners agreed with Eisenberg's (2002) premise that states, to harness the body of global evidence, nurses will need greater and faster access to EBP. This session will focus on the planned passage of CAEP from leader to partner in an international network focused on the advancement of EBP.

The learner will be able to:

  1. Describe the path from leadership to international partnership with global EBP champions and leaders to advance efforts toward a sustainable culture.
  2. Discuss the role of networking to advance EBP with local and regional nursing leadership on health policy issues in international partnership.
