Description/Overview: Although research is still focused on the best ways to teach with simulation, some researchers are also investigating what can be researched using simulation. We will explore what we still do not know about best practices with simulation education. We will then explore how simulation is being used in other kinds of current research. Finally we will speculate together on what other ways simulation might be useful in research.
Learner Objective #1: Discuss research still needed to determine the best ways to teach using simulation.
Learner Objective #2: Discuss the use of simulation as a tool to investigate other aspects of health care.
