Monday, 30 July 2012: 2:15 PM-3:30 PM
Description/Overview: Please join the leaders of STTI’s UN & Global Health Advisory Council as we discuss STTI’s role at the United Nations. The Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) will be reviewed with discussion on the many ways STTI members can conduct research addressing these issues. As it is hoped the MDG’s will be met by 2015, the UN will alter its focus to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This session is designed to stimulate discussion and will invite potential collaborations with STTI faculty and practice specialists worldwide as STTI members focus on making a contribution to these critical issues.
Learner Objective #1: Be aware of the MDG’s and the proposed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Learner Objective #2: Examine various research topics and opportunities for collaboration for STTTI members in addressing the critical issues raised by the MDG’s and SDG’s.
