Summary: This session will focus on the role of biological measures in better understanding why individuals may experience unique symptom profiles or more severe symptom burden. Genetic, neuroendocrine, electrophysiologic, and microbial markers will be discussed as examples in symptom research. Recommendations will be made for achieving more comprehensive knowledge regarding symptoms.
