Purpose: The purpose of this project is to continue to advance nursing education and practice though the global exchange created between Global Health Services Network (GHSN), American Nursing Institute Myanmar (ANIM) and Eastern Michigan University (EMU) School of Nursing (SON). Steps taken: ENFLA Scholar was instrumental in building a relationship between GHSN, ANIM and EMU SON with the support of key stakeholders. STTI Eta Rho Chapter was revitalized and given a sense of renewal and purpose through their involvement and participation. A sense of trust and co-development was established between GHSN, ANIM, and EMU. A face from EMU SON was provided to GHSN, ANIM and three private hospitals in Mandalay, Myanmar. EMU initiated a global partnership with ANIM. Mentoring data was collected regarding how ANIM nursing students perceive and experience mentoring. Funds raised by STTI Eta Rho Chapter supported the attendance of two ANIM faculty at STTI 44th Biennial Convention and a two week visit to EMU SON. The ANIM faculty participated and attended clinical and didactic sessions across EMU SON. ANIM faculty were immersed into American nursing education and practice. Outcomes: ENFLA scholar, with the support of STTI Eta Rho leadership, planned and implemented a face to face global exchange of nursing education and practice between ANIM faculty and EMU SON faculty and students. ANIM faculty fully experienced the American nursing curriculum they are teaching to advance existing nursing practice at the only American school of nursing in Myanmar (ANIM). The journey of the ANIM faculty to EMU SON is creating an evidence base to support the development of additional American schools of nursing in Myanmar. Physician stake holders, from three private hospitals in Myanmar, have asked for research assistance to build an evidence base to elevate nursing practice in their country. A Global Panel of nursing leaders was held to discuss the WHO Sustainable Development Goals with faculty and students at EMU. Mentoring needs of faculty and students were identified. Future Directions: As ANIM prepares to graduate their first cohort, EMU has been asked to develop and implement research projects supporting a shift in the education in Myanmar nursing preparation on topics related to patient safety and infection control. Ongoing fundraising initiatives to bring ANIM students to EMU SON to experience American nursing education and practice are being held. The creation of study abroad program for EMU SON students to travel to Myanmar during their leadership course is being developed. Three private hospitals, affiliated with ANIM, are willing to be a host. A Student Peer Mentoring Program, based on research findings, is being developed with STTI Eta Rho inductees (EMU SON students) and ANIM students using What's app and email. A Faculty Mentoring Program to support ANIM Faculty is evolving. EMU faculty have expressed an interest in teaching at ANIM. Discussions with GHSN, ANIM and EMU SON are ongoing to sustain this project
