Description/Overview: The session will emphasize aspects of the IOM recommendations regarding transformation in nursing practice to lead change and advance healthcare. The presenter will focus on strategies and techniques that are currently being utilized to transform nursing practice.
Learner Objective #1: Discuss the need and the IOM recommendations for transforming nursing practice.
Learner Objective #2: Identify changes in nursing practice necessary to prepare and enable nurses to lead changes in advancing healthcare.
