Esther S. Seloilwe, PhD, RN, RM, Nursing Education/ Student Affairs, University of Botswana, Gaborone, Botswana

HIV/AIDS continues to be a serious epidemic that affects many people either directly or indirectly. It is a threat to the survival of individuals, families and communities. As a result Botswana has put in place many policies and programs to mitigate the impact. In order to address this issue, nurse educators in Botswana integrated HIV/AIDS policies and curricular content into the general nursing programs. The discussion will focus in the model used in the integration process and the achievements made.
