C 11 SPECIAL SESSION: Sigma Theta Tau's International Leadership Institute: Resource Center for Your Leadership Development Needs

Description/Overview: With advances in nursing and global health care occuring more rapidly than ever before, it is critical for nurses to take the lead as such advances impact practice, education, administration and research. From the development of leaders in maternity and geriatrics to preparing nurses for faculty roles and to lead on Boards from organizations across the spectrum, the International Leadership Institute (ILI) of STTI is at the forefront of providing leadership resources and education. As STTI and it's programs continue to make a positive impact in the global health care arenea, the ILI has positioned itself to allow present and future leaders to take advantage of both personnel and material leadership resources. This session will describe the new exciting organizational approach STTI will be taking via the ILI towards leadership development, implementation, and evaluation.
Learner Objective #1: discuss how STTI's International Leadership Institute has positioned itself to meet the needs or present and future leaders from practice, education, administration and research.
Learner Objective #2: discuss how STTI's new orgainzational approach to leadership development can be applicable to each participant's career planning presently and in the future.
