Clinicians Determine What Matters Most
Bonnie L. Wesorick, MSN, CPM Resource Center, Grand Rapids, MI, USA
Learning Objective #1: delineate 6 Core Beliefs describing what matters most to clinicians.
Learning Objective #2: articulate the nature of the work necessary to create cultures to support the clinicians to live what matters most.

The results of a survey designed to seek the perceptions and wisdom of clinicians around what they believe matters most in the delivery of their professional care and the cultures in which they practice will be shared.  The survey has evolved over the last 20 years with thousands of staff providing feedback.  The patterns and lessons learned in the results of 500 participants representing diverse clinical settings in both the United States and Canada will be the focus of this session.  A comparison of what the participants say they believe and what they live everyday in practice will be reviewed.  The interventions designed to close the gap  and create the desired outcomes will be explored.
